Wednesday Morning Bible Study: 9:30-11:00am, Family Life Center
A fall and a spring Bible Study are generally offered. Everyone is welcome! A DVD provides the expert in the room followed by open discussion. The study is usually a Beth Moore Bible Study and includes a student book. Approximately 8 weeks in length. Led by Pam Evans.
IHOP Bible Study
Tuesdays, 7:45 am: IHOP Bible Study at the IHOP on North 9th Street. Come for breakfast, fellowship and bible study. Bring your bible and an appetite for learning more about the culture that scripture came from and how it applies to our lives today. Led by Pastor Eric Meyer and Dirk Hutchinson.
Apprentice
Apprentice is a two year small group study led by Scott & Vicki Price. Members will be guided to try various faith growth disciplines between sessions to discover what works best for them. A chapter is read each week in preparation for the next session. During worship this Sunday, August 28, a video clip will be shown featuring Trinity members from past Apprentice classes. They will share how this small group has made a lasting impact on their life. Trinity has 54 or more folks that have completed Apprentice.
Food, Faith and Fellowship
Are you a young adult who would like to connect with other young adults in our congregation? Excellent! Because we have a series of events created just for you! For four weeks this fall, we will be offering dinner followed by a short video, and then Pastor Eric will facilitate conversation based upon the video. We hope you will enjoy this time to develop new friends and discuss how our faith connects to the way we live our lives, while not having to worry about who is going to cook and clean up the dishes!
Disciple Bible Study
Disciple I, II, III, IV, Jesus In The Gospels & Christian Believers are offered regularly at Trinity UMC. Class times vary from year to year. These classes are 30-36 weeks in length, and require homework as well as a commitment to attend for the duration of the year. New classes begin throughout the year. Contact Tammy at tammy@triumc.org or 825-5270.
Great Expectations – Sunday at 9:45 AM
Great Expectations is a class that looks for different ways to explore the scripture in the everyday applications of our lives. The class frequently uses a DVD to present the views of an expert or a speaker and follow it with lively discussion. Many members have elementary, middle school and high school age children. Everyone is welcome. Jennifer Lorenson facilitates this class.
Ages and Stages – Sunday at 9:45 AM
A multigenerational Sunday School class that meets from 9:45 to 10:45 am in Fellowship Hall I. Everyone is welcome, whether you can attend one or many sessions. A new study begins every few months and is led by Pat and Bob Murray. A presentation is made through the teachers or a DVD. Members then gather around small tables and discuss the topic presented through suggested questions and conversation.
Current Events – Sunday at 9:45 AM
Under the leadership of Alice Riggs, this class discusses current events and the Christian life. Each week includes discussion and fellowship. Come to the Parlor and give it a try!
