Feed My Starving Children ~ Mobilepack, January 20-21, 2019

(Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) founded in 1987, is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.)

Why: We want to pack 100,000 meals for God’s children. FMSC is a Christian nonprofit that provides volunteer-packed, nutritious meals for starving people around the world. Today, 6,200 children die from starvation, daily.

Who: You and the Community of Salina & Surrounding Area. We hope to partner with you in this important service for God’s children in great need.

When: Sunday & Monday, January 20 & 21, 2019 – Martin Luther King weekend – Day of Service

Where: Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 E. Neal Ave., Salina, KS

How: We invite you to join us in packaging these meals. We need 500 volunteers $22,000 (22 cents a meal).

Moses was buried alive in an outhouse. An older man heard his faint cries and went down inside the outhouse to pull him out. Today, Moses is a healthy 4th grader and wants to be “President of Haiti” one day, thanks to the MannaPack meals!

Information Meetings

On January 17 & 18, 2016 KWU hosted a very successful Feed My Starving Children MobilePack, attracting over a thousand volunteers from around the community. The volunteers packed 186,624 meals. At one meal a day, these meals fed 511 children for a year, making a significant impact on fighting world hunger.

A Feed My Starving Children MobilePack is an amazing service project bringing together schools, churches, community organizations, and individuals aimed at reducing child poverty in developing countries around the world.

*If you are a member of a church or community organization, one idea might be to form teams

  1. Prayer team – we ask for everyone to pray for a success
  2. Promotion team – inform everyone you know including out of town family
  3. Fundraising team – decide on a fundraiser (Advent is a great time for this)
  4. Optional – Opportunity to order M&M tubes = a fundraiser(empty or full tubes)
