Sunday School

Sunday School is 9:45 – 10:45 each Sunday morning.

Deep Blue Bible Sunday School for 2 year olds – 3rd graders:
“In the depths of who I am I rejoice in God my savior.”  Luke 1:47

deepblueWith Deep Blue, children will make Bible stories, Bible people, and Bible passages a part of their lives. They will also come to know the Bible as THEIR book and find ways to let the Bible speak to them today!

Deep Blue incorporates Bible stories, science activities, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games into a lived-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today!

The Deep Blue kids—Asia, Edgar, and Kat—will lead the children through the Bible using animated videos that tell the story. The student resources-the Bible Story Stuff, the Kids Activity Stuff, and the Deep Blue Kids Bible—are colorful and engaging, encouraging the children to “dive deeper” into the Bible and explore their faith in fun and age-appropriate ways.  Come every Sunday… come any Sunday you are can.  Everyone Welcome!

Powerxpress 4th – 5th grade

Imagine a Sunday school classroom where children examine Van Gogh’s Starry Night and paint their own version while discussing God’s promise to Abram when God said, “Look at the sky and try to count the stars; you will have as many descendants as that.” (Genesis 15:5, Good News)

Or enter a room where children are playing the “Laughing Game.” When the giggles wind down, the teacher begins a discussion about laughter. He reminds the children how elderly Abraham and Sarah laughed when God told them they would have a baby, and asks if they know the meaning of the baby’s name, Isaac. When the children hear that Isaac means “laughter,” the giggles begin again.

And can you imagine visiting the church kitchen for Sunday school class? That’s where some children are assembling a fruit salad while others are frying tortillas. They tell you they are making the kinds of food that might have been served when Abraham held a feast when Isaac was weaned (Genesis 21:8). They invite you to come back in a few minutes and eat with them.

Powerxpress uses all types of learning styles to help the meaning of the bible come alive:

  • Art
  • Computer
  • Cooking
  • Games
  • Music/Movement
  • Science
  • Storytelling
  • Video
