On January 27, there was water damage in four rooms in the building identified after 7 inches of snow on the roof. An insurance claim was started at that time. It was finally determined that the roof damage likely occurred in September of 2025.  Two bids were obtained and turned over to insurance. The field adjuster toured the church on April 13 to assess the damage and submitted his report to be evaluated by the desk adjuster and compared to the bids obtained.

Between April 26th and 27th, 2026, the church roof sustained additional damage to the membrane covering the flat roof over the education wing. The Preschool classrooms, daycare room, and several other rooms were damaged by a large amount of water entering through the roof. Since then, the rain has continued to find ways into the building.

The first insurance claim was approved on Friday, May 8. Ryan Roofing has already replaced the shingled parts of the roof, and will replace the flat part of the roof as soon as the weather permits. The deductible totals $12,500 for this coverage.

On May 18th, the staff came in to mitigate the water that had came into their offices, and around the building as well.

Once the roof has been repaired, the field adjuster will return to assess the additional damage. We will have at least one more $7,500 deductible to pay for the internal damage and more than likely two: one for the snow claim and one for the spring rain damage.
