Weekly Sunday School | 9:45am – 10:45am Sunday Mornings

2 year olds and younger are invited to play in the nursery. 2 year olds will have a Bible story and faith activities as time and circumstances allow throughout the hour.

3 year olds-3rd Grade: Celebrate Wonder

Celebrate Wonder is a Sunday school curriculum that engages children’s natural sense of curiosity to help them understand God’s love. It creates a safe environment for kids to ask big questions — helping them explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourages creativity. Through carefully-selected Bible stories, songs, videos, and hands-on activities, Celebrate Wonder gives children the tools to explore their faith while incorporating it into their daily lives. A short bible story and scripture is experienced each week.  Each of these bible stories combine throughout the year to paint a larger picture of our faith story from both the Old and New Testaments.

4th & 5th grade Sunday School uses all types of learning styles to help the meaning of the bible come alive:  Art, Cooking, Games, Music/Movement, Science, Storytelling, Video, Drama. Imagine a Sunday school classroom where children examine Van Gogh’s Starry Night and paint their own version while discussing God’s promise to Abram when God said, “Look at the sky and try to count the stars; you will have as many descendants as that.” (Genesis 15:5, Good News). Or enter a room where children are playing the “Laughing Game.”  The teacher reminds the children how elderly Abraham and Sarah laughed when God told them they would have a baby named Isaac or laughter. And can you imagine visiting the church kitchen for Sunday school class? That’s where some children are making the kinds of food that might have been served when Abraham held a feast when Isaac was weaned (Genesis 21:8).
