Ages & Stages

Each 6 – 8 weeks a new topic is discussed. The expert is often experienced through a video presentation followed by group discussion that includes scripture and class member input. Led by various members. Contact for the class is Pat Ault – Duell. Meets in Fellowship Hall 1.

Great Expectations
- Various topics of study ranging from Bible Study to a series focused on a topic and scripture. The focus may be introduced thru a video presentation or a class member followed by discussion and fellowship. Contact for the class is Lynette Lorenson and Jennifer Lorenson. Meets in Room #12

Current Events
- Each week discussion is centered around a current event from the week. Members share their response from a Christian perspective. Conversation and fellowship is a big part of their faith journey as well. Led by Glenn Engelland. Meets in Room #13

Each 6 – 8 weeks a new topic is discussed. The expert is often experienced through a video presentation followed by group discussion that includes scripture and class member input. A book may be offered to read between class sessions instead of or in addition to a video. Led by Rick Johnson. Meets in Room #2

Apprentice
- Sundays. 9:15-10:45am. Sept. 15 – May. Book will be ordered for you unless you indicate otherwise. Book: $15. Led by Scott and Vicki Price
- This deep, loving and transformative book will help you discover the narratives that Jesus lived by—to know the Lord he knew and the kingdom he proclaimed—and to practice spiritual exercises that will help you grow in the knowledge of our good and beautiful God.

Atlas of the Heart
- Wednesdays. 6-7pm. August 14 – September 18. Led by Pastor Chelsea
- Join us for the 6-week study to explore the emotions and experiences that define what it means to be human. Our study will include a video teaching from Brene Brown, followed by group discussion. If you want a more in-depth version of the content, you are invited to purchase the book and we will offer a reading plan for each week. Please reach out to Pastor Chelsea with any questions.

Disciple II Bible Study
- Tuesdays*. 6:30-7:45pm. September 3 – March 11. Choice of in person or Zoom attendance. Will receive book and scriptures electronically. Cost: $45. Led by Kelley Weber. *Tuesdays don’t work? Suggest an alternate day or time at registration.
- Disciple 2 offers a deeper examination of Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts, emphasizing the rhythm of coming to God and going for God . . . You will go both “Into the Word,” by studying Scripture and “Into the World,” by acting on what you have learned.

- Tuesdays, 2pm, UUMC Boardroom
- Watch video series, read book studies, and other activities together and discuss the content in a casual setting.

IHOP Bible Study
- Tuesdays: 7:45-8:45am, Year Round – come when you can! Led by Dirk Hutchinson and Eric Meyer. Come to IHOP north of I-70 on 9th street! Gather to experience the scripture for the coming Sunday, and eat a pancake or two if you like! Everyone is welcome!

Wrestling with Doubt, Finding Faith
- Wednesdays, 6-7pm. August 14-September 18th. We will be studying the book Wrestling with Doubt, Finding Faith, by Adam Hamilton. There will also be daily online conversations on the Better Together Salina Facebook group.

- Designed for anyone who has ever felt insufficient, ill-equipped, incompetent, or outnumbered. In other words, anyone and everyone
- Instead of hiding from your weaknesses, find the God-given strength to face your fears and do what God is calling you to do
- Challenges participants to see God in a much bigger way, experience God more fully, and tap into God power and presence in a fresh way.

Made for Goodness
- Mondays. 6:30-7:30pm. August 26th – November 18. Book will be ordered for you if you sign up by August 12. Book: $18.00. Led by Stephanie Johannes.
- Archbishop Desmond Tutu witnessed some of the world’s darkest moments, for decades fighting the racist government policy of apartheid and since then being an ambassador of peace… Yet people find him and his work joyful and hopeful., Tutu shares his source of strength and optimism.
- Written with his daughter, Tutu argues that God has made us for goodness, and when we simply start walking in the direction of this calling, God is there to meet us…God has made the world as a grand theater for us to work out this call to goodness; it is up to us to live up to this calling, but God is there to help us every step of the way.
